Embossed leather meets printmaking

I am Carrie Moore, a pastel painter, printmaker, and functional leather designer. My artwork reflects nature at it’s boldest and often I combine figurative work with floral work, hiding images in my block print designs. Most recently, I’ve combined Printmaking with leather embossing, creating unique one-of-a-kind functional pieces for both men and women. Once a block is carved and printed, it is retired, but it seemed a shame to retire such a worthy beauty as a carved block. My work continues to grow and change as I meet new challenges combining media. My work is shown at RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, OR, Mt. Hood Cultural Center Gallery in Government Camp, OR, my prints are available at Print Arts NW and in studio by appointment at Carrie Moore Studios.
