According to archaeologists, humans have been decorating their bodies with manipulated natural objects since the dawn of humanity. In the earliest of instances a found object was always altered in some way so as to be worn upon the body. As techniques evolved, and different materials were used, styles were birthed and fashion developed. But the origin of jewelry was very raw and acted as a form of awe and appreciation for the pure brilliance and beauty that exists in nature. As an artist and jeweler, I feel deeply connected to this rich historical aspect of humanity. My designs express a love of nature, a passion for loving others in their uniqueness, and a desire to share that love through my intuition and creativity.
Within each handmade piece of adornment exists a magical mystery. Just like each one of us, these precious stones have been forged through the trials of time: changing environments, outside pressures, internal composition and then crystalized through a long quiet stillness. From the gifts of Earth, I glean my deepest inspiration. Life: abundant, strong, persistent, and forever glorious.
