I build mixed-media sculpture with porcelain as my primary material. I finish my clay forms with underglazes and oxides or leave them raw for smoke firing using an old Weber Smokey Joe. I also incorporate thread (through weaving and stitching techniques), india inks, encaustic wax, and found materials.

My current work explores memory through objects that reference totems and rosaries. Individual beads stand in for significant words, phrases, or concepts and are linked together and detailed with woven or braided threads.

I have also begun making small runs of jewelry consistent with my visual vocabulary.
