I’m a true believer in the pursuit of creative expression in all its manifestations. My motivation as a metalsmith is a desire to conjure a weathered remnant of a lost civilization or an unearthed mysterious artifact. My pieces are lovingly designed and hand fabricated with attention to craftsmanship and durability. The working parts must be beautiful and intrinsic to the overall design.
Having made everything from backyard billboards to utilitarian household objects and all manner of food, clothing and shelter I’ve espoused the DIY lifestyle since before it was an acronym. I received an MFA in Visual Art with an emphasis in Metalsmithing from the University of Oregon.
